“Sinking into the armchairs and sofas is like relaxing at home the way you always imagined it ought to be.” Maurice Hamilton, ‘Observer Magazine’
What will we do today?
Somehow just lounging around having afternoon tea with scones, cream and jam isn’t enough for some people.
To be helpful, we have also provided the perfect location from which you can access wonderful golf courses; spend ‘Boy’s Own’ days at sea fishing for whales and great barracuda à la Ernest Hemingway (okay, tope and specimen fish – but you can still wear shades); scale mountain peaks like Everest (several people have remarked it’s so like our own Errigal); enjoy outstanding walks (if that’s not a contradiction in terms); try your luck in the famous Watt’s Pool in Ramelton (not joking about this one); shorten the journey by hiring a horse; or go whizzing through the water on two narrow boards.
Alternatively, you could pull down another book in the lounge, throw a couple of turf on the fire and order a cappuccino.
Like life itself, it’s all about making choices . . .
