DUE TO LEVEL 5 RESTRICTIONS THE HOTEL WILL BE CLOSED FROM 21st OCTOBER FOR 6 WEEKS.
We firmly believe this needs to be a joint effort between our team and our guests, so we ask you to please use maximum common sense to play your part in keeping everyone safe. In return we will be doing the same for you.

The house will only be open to those who have a room reservation.
What to Expect If You Are Staying With Us:
On arrival the front door may be locked so please ring the doorbell. Once you check-in, you will have a front door key on your fob to come and go as you please.
The windows will be open in the lounges and restaurant to allow the clean Donegal air to circulate, so please take an extra geansaí.
There will be plenty of Covid 19 suppressions in place, including frequent cleaning & disinfecting of high touch points, soft furnishings and furniture.
Hand sanitisers, disinfectants and wipes will be located in all areas throughout the hotel.
All staff have completed Covid 19 awareness training and advanced suppression training.
The furniture has been adjusted to accommodate for physical distancing.
Unfortunately you won’t get the friendly handshake or hug you got in the past, there may be less time to chat and the staff may be wearing a mask or face shield but the friendly Donegal welcome will still await you.
To allow enhanced cleaning & sanitising of our rooms we would ask that you check in from 4pm - please do not bring your lugagge into the hotel until you have checked your room is ready - you are welcome to call reception to check. If you are travelling in a group please nominate one person to check-in while the rest of the group adhere to social distancing.
We will need all your contact details for each room prior to arrival so there will be no need to sign in.
In the rooms: hand gel and disinfectant wipes. We have replaced the pillows with Comfortnight Waterproof Wipe Clean Pillows.
What’s not in the rooms: guest folders, magazines, tea/coffee making facilities, extra pillows/blankets.
Room service: at this time unfortunately there will be no room service available.
We would encourage you to use the bathroom in your room rather than the shared washrooms on the ground floor.
There will be a booking time sheet for the pool, please use this to book your swimming times so everyone can enjoy the facility safely.
Please contact the hotel about activities within the locality, which you may be interested in participating in, so we can give you information.
The playroom will be out of circulation for the immediate future.
We would ask families with small children to make their dinner reservations for the 6pm 6.15pm or 6.30pm slots.
Extensive children’s dinner menu available.
Barbara our childminder is available to pre book.
Tea & coffee will be available for those early birds from 7.30am in the restaurant.
Breakfast will be served at guests’ tables as sadly our long table breakfast buffet is not viable with current guidelines. We will offer a selection of cold breakfast items from the kitchen, as well as our normal cooked to order option between 8.00 - 11.00am. For now we are not taking pre bookings for breakfast but we may need to adjust this as we go along. For your information, the busier times are normally between 9:45 - 10:15am.
On the working together element, to allow for enhanced cleaning of your room we would kindly ask you to leave your room sometime between 11.00am-3.00pm. We will open the bedroom windows and leave them open to let the fresh air circulate.
We will have designated or reserved areas on the lawns for residents. Lunch will be available in the lounges if social distancing allows or in the restaurant. You may have guests for lunch if you make a prior reservation with reception.
There will be less tables due to physical distancing so we will commence dinner at 6:15pm. The daily changing menu will have a choice and there willbe a menu for each individual table. You may have guests for dinner if you make a prior reservation with reception. Max 6 people to a table and from no more than 3 different households.
The Tap room is open for takeaway on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. We have limited outdoor seating if you wish to book, please let us know.
And so to bed:
As per the government guidelines, the lounges are to be vacated by 11.30pm.
Your bill be emailed to you on the morning of checkout and we ask you to vacate the room by 10:30am to allow for us to do our enhanced cleaning. If there are any discrepancies on your bill please dial reception on 0. At payment time we would remind you to adhere to social distancing. The card terminal will be sanitised after every use.
Please drop your key to reception before checkout so we can sanitise it for the next guest.
