Horse Riding

With hundreds of kilometres of beach, woodland and designated tracks, there can be few better ways to view the beautiful landscape of Donegal than on horseback. A morning stroll on our 2 mile beach in front of the house will often offer guests a glimpse of horses from a host of local stables on the gallop.

At Carrigart Stables you will spend the day trekking on beaches and sand dunes. Suitable for all levels and open 7 days a week from Easter to November.

Dunfanaghy Stables - 074 91 00980

Based in the gorgeous town of Dunfanaghy on the Wild Atlantic Way, Helen and her staff will show you this naturally stunning part of Ireland in the best way possible, on horseback. Open from Spring until late October, Dunfanaghy stables have horses from little Shetland Ponies to Irish Hunters so all levels and ages are catered for.
